"Crazy Thoughts"

I was looking through a website yesterday and I found a couple of questions on there that were quite amusing. I would like to share it with everybody and maybe you can try answering these questions for me... because I am still thinking about them... :-)

- Why is the show called "Unsolved Mysteries?" If they were solved, they wouldn't be mysteries.
-Why did Sally sell seashells on the seashore when you can just pick them up anyway?
-Why do we sing "Rock a bye baby" to lull our little ones to sleep when the song is about putting your baby in a tree and letting the wind crash the cradle to the ground?
-If a doctor suddenly died while doing surgery, would the other doctors work on the doctor or the patient?
-Why do we say we're head over heels when we're happy? Isn't that the way we normally are?
-Why do sleeping pills have warning labels that state :'Caution: May Cause Drowsiness'?
-What happens if you get a paper cut from a Get Well card?
-Why are elderly people often called "old people" but children are never called "new people"?

Just some stuff to think about... More stuff can be found at this link... Enjoy! ;-)

okay here we goo:
unsolved mysteries - first of all even if mysteries were solved, they were originally considered to be unsolvable...which is what makes them mysteries? like if you had a problem, whether it is solved or not it was at one point a problem.

seashells - haha i don't know but it's a tongue twister..so it wasn't gonna make sense anyway

rock-a-bye baby - cuz we secretly want our kids to crash cuz they're so annoying(i'm kidding...)

doctor - um if the doctor died, what good would it be to do surgery? haha...i mean you could you know try to give him CPR but if his heart stop beating and his brain started to disintegrate...

head over heels - haha who knows...maybe i'll google this. YES this is what i've found and hypothesized in my head: "'Head over heels' is now most often used as part of 'head over heels in love'. When first coined it wasn't used that way though and referred exclusively to being temporarily the wrong way up. It is one of many similar phrases that we use to describe things that are not in their usual state - 'upside-down', 'topsy-turvy', 'topple up tail', 'arse over tea-kettle', 'bass-ackwards' etc."

sleeping pills - okay i don't even want to answer this...this is the lamest of 'em all

get well card - irony, my friend, irony

"new people?" - why the hell would you call children new people?? that's just weird but whatever makes you happy...

(oh yeah for all you other people reading, it didn't take me too long to do this...only like 10 minutes)

About Me!

To escape from the humdrum existence people call "life", I explore the jungle of my mind. A meandering path, with thoughts as my obstacles. I put aside the smiling face of my mother, snapshots of holidays with friends, lost memories of my childhood... All in an attempt to find answers to my branching questions.
